(crossposted to conservatism and book_worm; REJECTED by moderator of liberal)

I never really realized that conservatives hated Kurt Vonnegut as some kind of liberal icon until I saw the Fox News obituary of Kurt Vonnegut broadcast the day after his death. This news story seemed inordinately harsh to me, but, because I may be especially sensitive as a big Vonnegut fan, I've uploaded some clips from the Fox News obituary for you to see and decide for yourself in my latest 3 minute 10 second YouTube video at:

Fox News Obituary Trashes Kurt Vonnegut

If you prefer using an embedded video player:

In case anyone's interested, I tracked down the origin of that ancient Greek admonition "Not to speak evil of the dead" to Diogenes Laertius quoting Chilon (pictured at the beginning of this video) quoting Aesop at: http://www.classicpersuasion.org/pw/diogenes/dlchilon.htm

Also, this video qualifies as the latest addition to my "Fox News Bias" playlist you can see on YouTube at: Fox News Bias

Finally, as always, I appreciate all feedback :-)

Complete BS. Not your account of it. Fox News' report.

Is that your voice for the video? If so, you have a really nice voice then.

i would have preferred to watch the video without the commentary. I mean, you're talking over a news report whilst trying to prove its bias. at the same time, fox is yet to break my spirit as we don't have it in australia... channel 7 news is bad enough.

You know, the more I hear out of Fox news, the more I am convinced that there is a small (though disproportionately loud) group of conservatives who really, truly hate liberals. They don't just dislike us or think we are in error -- they don't even want to change our minds. They truly loathe us -- finding us and everything we stand for or are associated with to be entirely abhorrent.

yourcomments@foxnews.com - Tell Fox News what you think of their "report" I just did. It's disgusting. Vonnegut would have loved how outraged we are though - it's that spirit in us that will keep his works alive and will hopefully overpower the Fox Newses of the world.

Why do I feel like I'm suddenly Eliot Rosewater and Fox News is Norman Mushari? Well...be fruitful and multiply I guess.
